Partnerships
Partnerships are at the heart of developing effective programmes and initiatives in the Cook Islands. NES endeavours to leverage its domestic and international partners in order to obtain environmental sustainability in the long term. There is a need to build consensus, mobilize our community, scale up innovation and mainstream environmental stewardship and compliance.Â
NES plans to strengthen and broaden its partnerships as an integral component of its transformational strategy. The engagement with new partners from the civil society and private sector will complement the work conducted by NES. This focus will strengthen environmental governance & accountability, management systems and monitoring & compliance.
