The Rarotonga Development Guide was recently issued to assist land and building developers with their planning.

The Guide was developed by the Infrastructure Cook Islands (ICI), Te Marae Ora and the National Environment Service, to provide a process map to help the public understand the various development permitting processes of NES, TMO and ICI.

The guide also includes information on installing utility services and to encourage best practices in development and living that protect people, property and the environment.

Prior to applying for an environment approval from NES, please ensure your land map/survey plan has the infrastructure manager’s stamp of approval from ICI.
