Join NES in celebrating World Ozone Day! Organised by the United Nations, this day is to celebrate our planet’s vital shield: the Ozone Layer. This year’s theme, “Advancing Climate Action,” invites us to reflect on the climate benefits of protecting our ozone layer. The Montreal Protocol on Ozone Depleting Substances has united the world to actively protect our ozone layer, which also supports our collective battle against climate change.

Here in the Cook Islands, NES has kicked off celebrations with a fun colouring competition launched on Saturday September 14th. With 2 categories to participate in, show off your creativity for a chance to WIN PRIZES: $250 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd, and $50 for 3rd!

This is open to Cook Islands residents only, including Pa Enua residents. Our Pa Enua residents can grab these from their respective island environment officers or email ngatupuna.kae@cookislands.gov.ck for electronic copy.

Don’t miss out!  The coloring competition runs until 4pm, September 30th, and winners will be announced on October 4th.
