Environment Bill 2024 Public Consultations

We further wish to inform the public of the Cook Islands, including NGOs and interest groups, that there is still opportunity to make comments on the Bill until the 31 October 2024.

Following the release of the draft Environment Bill 2024 on the 31 May 2024 for key stakeholder engagement and comments by 9 August 2024, NES would like to acknowledge all stakeholders that have met and provided us with comments and feedback to improve the Bill.

We further wish to inform the public of the Cook Islands, including NGOs and interest groups, that there is still opportunity to make comments on the Bill until the 31 October 2024.

Please find submission template here for any comments you wish to provide on the Bill.

We also wish to advise that there will be upcoming public consultations to follow for Rarotonga and the Pa Enua islands in the forthcoming months. The dates and details for these will be publicly advertised in due course, along with additional updates.
