During the World Environment Day last month, the Global Programme ‘Implementing Sustainable Low and Non-Chemical Development in Small Island Developing States’ (ISLANDS) launched the Tide Turners App . It is a mobile application (app) that empowers young people around the world to ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ by equipping them with youth-focused community-based solutions.
The app is a concrete tool designed for young people aged between 12 and 25 years old to learn about plastic pollution and start taking action as an individual or collective through through group activities in clubs and schools.
The App is also open for anyone to use. You can navigate through the activities, stories and news. We are all in this to beat plastic pollution so let us work together as a region to address it.https://www.gefislands.org/TideTurners
